When Gary Barker and Larry Chernicoff first imagined a sustainable retail hanger back in 2006, no such thing existed. Their research into retail hangers revealed that over 20 billion plastic hangers were ending up in landfills every year. They realized that something had to be done to solve this ecological disaster.
Working closely with overseas clothing vendors, international logistics distribution centers, operations departments, retailers, and environmental experts, the Ditto Sustainable Hanger was created to be as brand forward and sustainable as possible. After 2½ years of research, testing, and marketing studies, the Ditto Hanger was launched in 2008 as a major breakthrough in the apparel world, with over 30 patents and several international awards for sustainable design.
Starting with just 3 models, the Ditto line-up has expanded into hundreds – displaying everything from delicate lingerie to heavy industrial personal protection equipment for conscientious and iconic brands. And doing it responsibly and transparently.
The Ditto Hanger is a powerful branding tool to reflect the company, products being displayed, or special promotions. Ditto can be spot printed, laminated, 4-color printed, or foil stamped. Anything you can do with paper, you can do with Ditto.
